She who dares does not always win or so it would seem this week for Australian Z-list celebrity Tania Zaetta. The tabloids have been getting dirty Down Under with notes of a scandal being leaked into the media about a Government Investigation about Zeatta who recently returned from visiting the troops in Afghanistan.

What was the topic of this investigation? Was it a search for nuclear weapons? No. Was it in relation to confidential battle plans? Um, no. Details of when the Australian government should pull the troops out of Afghanistan? Once again, no.

Instead, it has been alleged that Zaetta, who just returned from ‘entertaining the troops’ in Afghanistan, took her job description a little too literally and entertained A Few Good Men in a sexual fashion.

This allegation left Savvy with one overwhelming question: What is the name of the investigation? Perhaps Operation Babe Watch? After all, Zaetta is famous for appearing alongside the Hoff in the cult show, Baywatch.

Or, possibly: Investigation: Let me entertain you?

The list could go on and on…

Whatever the investigation is named, everyone from broadsheets to blogs have been rocked by the unsubstantiated claims going public because of the fact that documents, aptly titled ‘Hot Issues Brief’, were apparently part of a ‘top secret’ government investigation. Their becoming public knowledge becomes quite the national security breach in Australia. Hot issues they may be, secret they are most certainly not.

For once the tabloids have been interesting. It’s not every day one gets to see the words ‘Afghanistan’ or ‘Government’ written in the glossies.

“The Federal Government faces a potential compensation payout to television celebrity Tania Zaetta after naming her at the centre of a sex scandal investigation that has rocked the Defense Force in more ways that one,” said one Australian publication.

At the centre of all of this controversy is an over exposed Z-List Zaetta, supposed victim of sex, lies and videotape. Zeatta has strongly denied the unsubstantiated allegations that she had sex with Australian soldiers during an entertainment tour of the Middle East last month.

Savvy is sure that she now regrets her jovial quote of, “If you can’t find a date there [Afghanistan] then you won’t anywhere,” that she made before leaving on her jaunt.

There is nothing like a sex scandal to bring down the government; it’s all very Munroe-esque.

Zeatta’s decision to seek legal advice came after the Defence Department admitted it broke its own privacy regulations by naming her in a high-level briefing document intended for Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon.

Zaetta told the Nine Network's A Current Affair last night that she wants an apology.

"How does a supposed document that I don't know about get leaked in the first place? That's a little bit concerning about the security of the country," she said. "It's complete made-up lies. I feel I am owed an apology."

Asked if she had been alone with any soldiers during the 17-day tour,
Zaetta said: "You were never alone with any soldiers - you were in full view of everybody else all the time." Which means the only kind of sex she could have been involved in was of the very public kind. A kinky thought, but let’s face it - if there was some kind of gang-bang it would be on YouTube by now.

The Australia Defence Force has confirmed that an investigation into the claims is under way and yesterday "apologised unreservedly" to Zaetta for disclosing the claims.

"I do need an apology - not only my family name but my career that I have worked very hard for is at stake here," said Tania to an online news site.
But it does not stop there. Rumours have been circling that the investigation was leaked to the media by Z-for-Zaetta’s entertainment tour colleague, retired rock singer Angry Anderson. Why? Just because he is angry that someone was getting some! However those rumours were squashed by Angry who denied leaking the investigation to the press and called it a “national security breach”. Savvy can’t help but believe him. After all, before this why would the press have wanted to talk to him anyway?
