"I'm not wearing any panties right now. Is that sexy?"

With those words, model/actress Chanel Ryan had me like putty in her hands -- just like the mechanics in an L.A. body shop who gave her a sweetheart deal on repairing a dented door when they realized she was same the sexy bombshell as that girl on the calendar hanging on the wall. Those guys will get a chance to spend another year with her when her 2005 Calendar comes out.

I asked her if she'd ever used her powers for evil-doing.

"What do you mean? I'm not a witch..."

I explained that I wondered if her curves had ever gotten her out of a ticket for speeding around curves on the highway.

"Oh yeah, men are easy to manipulate -- but in a good way. Thank God they get so much pleasure out of looking at women," she answered.

She has used her looks to cash in with a series of projects including the calendars, a DVD, a series of posters and a couple of books. She has used her brains to use modeling as a stepping stone to entrepreneurship. Appropriately enough, Chanel formed a production company called "Babes With Brains."

A friend of hers giggles when she speaks of her visions of a "Chanel empire," but she may have the last laugh. This talented girl is working on a TV pilot, hosting, performing live theatre, writes books, and has started her own swimwear and workout fashion line of apparel -- and she does it sans panties.

Kind of ironic for a lingerie model to not wear at least a g-string, don't ya think?

"I have an aversion to underwear and no time to do my laundry so I usually do go nude under my clothes," she said. "I am very confident with my body. I grew up around the beach wearing a bikini so it wasn't a big deal to model in it. The only time I feel a bit weird is when I am on a movie set and the crew and everyone start gawking at me. I walk around my house naked all the time. I am sure my neighbors have all seen me naked because I keep all the windows open."

"What is that address?" I asked.

She laughed but didn't give up the digits. Guess I will just have to use my imagination.

I asked Chanel about her sexuality and whether she's open to exploring new things.

"I'm a bad girl who is forever trying to be good. No, I'm liberal, man -- all the way. I used to think it was normal for girls to get with all of their girlfriends, then later I found out it's not necessarily that way."

"Excuse me?" I asked, wondering if I heard her correctly.

"Oh yeah, women are beautiful. Who could resist really?"

"So how far have you gone with a woman?" I asked.

"How far have you gone, Steven?"

"I've gone ALL... THE... WAY...!"

"Then," she said, "We're even, Steven."

She told me how she got kissed by a boy at age 13 who remained her boyfriend all through high school.

"Losing my virginity was a great experience. I liked it and wanted to do it again," Chanel said. "I definitely learned about sex from classmates at school. I think parents want to try and tell you but it doesn't really work that way. When you're that young, you really don't have the maturity to have that conversation with them."

"But isn't sex ed among a group of kids filled with a lot of inaccuracies?" I asked.

"With my high school girlfriends, it was, like, show and tell, touching and actually experimenting. So I would have to say it was pretty accurate. I was a cheerleader for about six months but I couldn't get into all the stuff we were supposed to do for the football players so I had to drop off. I may have been kicked off, I can't remember. I think every teenage girl goes through this phase where she wants to be a cheerleader thinking she'll be accepted and cool. If you want to be a cheerleader for that reason alone, you realize it sucks. I didn't want to be practicing on Friday night. I wanted to go out."

Chanel's affection for her fellow femme came crashing into her family life when she appeared on The Howard Stern Show and was pressed for details on her kinky side as only the King of All Media can do.

"I was visiting my family in New Jersey when the Stern show aired on E! Television. I was horrified when my uncle found out the video footage was going to be on TV and my aunt called every one of my relatives, including my dad, to tell them to watch. They heard me talk about kissing these girls. The only thing that redeemed me was Fox News ran a story on me later that night which made me out to be an angel!" she said.

Dad will be glad to know his little girl definitely thinks men have an edge in the sack.

"I love English and Italian accents. Men are awesome. A girl just wants him to overpower and take control of her, and a woman can't do that. There's a lot to be said about anticipation, and I think men need to kiss more during foreplay. You can tell a lot about a man by what he eats. I don't want to waste my time on a man who is real picky and won't eat anything because odds are he will be lousy in bed. If a man loves eating and is very much into food, fun times."

Chanel is highly driven in business but also in the pursuit of fun.

"I have too much fun sometimes. I can't turn down a dare. I was recently in New Orleans with some friends and a girlfriend dared me to take this Mardi Gras-type bead bikini top off a wall, take my top off in front of the whole bar and put it on," she said.

Overflowing with confidence and sex appeal, Chanel said she admires the ability of Pam Anderson and Carmen Electra to ooze sexiness without taking themselves too seriously. The businesswoman in Chanel also admires Kathy Ireland for her business ventures with a clothing line and fitness videos. Cindy Margolis, who used her body and brains to build a glamour empire on the web, is someone Chanel admires for her intelligence and savvy.

Chanel isn't one of those models who gripes and moans about how horrible the life of a model is.

"I get to travel to beautiful places and stay in first-class accomodations. Free clothes, make-up, shoes, hair products, etc. I am constantly invited to great parties, events and movie premieres. I meet a lot of interesting people, and the money is not bad either!"

Oh, Chanel... As Mr. Rogers was fond of asking, please won't you be my neighbor?
