Jessica Burciaga is famous enough, thank you.

"I never want to get really famous because I get a preview of fame now," she said. "It's kind of scary when strangers recognize you. I've had people try to follow me home from clubs where I go-go dance. One time these girls followed me into the bathroom and one of them literally put her camera under the stall trying to get a picture of me in there! People following what I'm doing now, especially on the import scene, that's enough fame for me."

It's no surprise fame has followed this beauty, who celebrated her 24th birthday on April 11. All it took to launch a thriving modeling career was submitting pictures to Stuff magazine, where editors featured her in August 2005. Before long, she appeared in Maxim, Modified and Performance Auto & Sound magazines.

In addition to this Savvy.com feature and a very popular website, IdreamofJessie.com, Jessica has two magazine covers coming out this month, for Import Tuner and Open Your Eyes magazine. She's also shooting for the East/West calendar and recently joined the elite group of models who've posed for Benchwarmer trading cards.

"The work keeps coming, and I want to do everything I can as a model," she said. "Hopefully by the time I'm 30, I'll be married and have started a family. I can't wait to get married and share my life with someone."

Guys, the line starts right here...

Savvy: So a girl follows you into the bathroom at a club and...

Jessica: She literally slid her camera under the stall and took a picture. It was a group of girls who are fans of my Myspace page. They came out to the club and were all happy. They followed me into the bathroom and kept taking pictures of me. I was, like, "Okay, already". I went into the stall and the flash went off. I had my go-go boots on and my hands covering my face. I came out and said, "What the f#@k?! I was nice enough to take pictures with you outside and you follow me in the bathroom taking pictures?" I told security what happened, and they kicked her and her friends out of the club.

Savvy: (Laughs) That's unreal. Some people are pretty stupid.

Jessica: They were drunk so they probably didn't realize what they were doing.

Savvy: Still, not cool. (Laughs) So you aren't obsessed with becoming mega-famous?

Jessica: Having 70,000 friends on Myspace is enough fame for me. It actually gets overwhelming and a little scary with strangers wanting to walk you to your car. I can't even imagine what a real celebrity goes through. I can't imagine what Britney Spears or Brad Pitt go through on a daily basis. They can't even go to the grocery store without being mobbed, and I don't want a life like that. My goal is to get married and have kids. This is just something I'm doing for fun.

Savvy: Have you always been hot?

Jessica: I've always loved taking pictures since I was a baby. But until a few years ago, I was shy about showing my body. I thought I was fat, but then I realized that guys like curves.

Savvy: When did you first realize that you had something special as a model?

Jessica: Ah, thank you. One of the editors at Stuff magazine said I stood out from the rest of the models because they couldn't make out what my nationality was. My mom is French and Irish, while my dad is Mexican. I had assumed I wouldn't get work because only the blondes with big boobs get work, but now I know that people like an exotic look. After that, I just started getting work because I don't have a typical look.

Savvy: Are you looking to parlay modeling into hosting or acting work?

Jessica: I did some extra work on sitcoms and shows like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", thinking I wanted to be an actress. But I realized I don't want to do that because I don't like watching myself on screen. Taking pictures is the most comfortable, natural thing, but I think my voice is annoying. I would still love to get into hosting or sports broadcasting, something where I can be myself.

Savvy: Guys want to know what you look for in a man.

Jessica: I like an aggressive and confident man. I don't like wimpy or nerdy types. I like someone who is strong, a real man. If a guy kisses my ass, I am immediately turned off. I've always been the girl who likes the guy in the room who is ignoring me instead of the ones who are paying attention.

Savvy: Oh, did you say something? (Laughs) Why is that?

Jessica: A lot of the girls who dance and model, we have guys all over us all the time. So when there's a hot guy in the room who catches your eye but he's not all over you, you wonder "Why isn't he talking to me?" It is something you have to work for rather than it just coming to you.

Savvy: You like a challenge.

Jessica: Yeah, it's more fun.

Savvy: Some guys mistakenly assume that if they treat a girl like shit, that gets her. I'm sure if some girl has low self-esteem, it probably does.

Jessica: I don't like being treated like shit, but I definitely don't want anyone kissing my ass either. I like the guys who are a little harder to get and only come out of their shell for you. You know what I mean? Only you get to see their soft, sentimental side, but their exterior that most people see is a badass tough guy.

Savvy: Know it? I live it, baby. (Laughs)

Jessica: I don't like quiet guys because I'm really talkative and I don't want to feel like I'm the only one talking. I want someone who can carry on a conversation and have a good time with me. Someone who likes to do the same stuff that I do.

Savvy: Such as?

Jessica: Like dancing. If a guy can dance, he's cool.

Savvy: Do you ever look at how a guy dances and get a sense of how talented he might be in other departments?

Jessica: (Laughs) You can probably tell, especially if he's dancing with you. Yeah. (Laughs) You can't tell everything, but you can tell a few things.

Savvy: Poetry or porn?

Jessica: I'm kind of cheese ball when it comes to romance. I like white roses. I HATE red roses! Don't ever buy me red roses!

Savvy: (talking into tape recorder) Note to self... Call the florist... Change red to white.

Jessica: (Laughs) Most women like red, but I like white. They're just prettier. I like all of that romantic stuff, especially when a guy puts time and effort into a night with me. Flowers. Wine. A nice dinner.

Savvy: What's the most romantic thing a guy ever did for you? You know, so I can rip off his idea...

Jessica: I wanted to go on a trip really badly and my boyfriend surprised me. It was really nice being at the hotel, going to a few shows, shopping, dinner, and drinks. It was a really fun, romantic getaway.

Savvy: Cool. Backtracking a little bit, I understand your first photo shoot ended so badly that you nearly gave up on modeling.

Jessica: I met a photographer that wanted to shoot me for, like, a year, but it was hard for me to trust anyone. When I worked at Hooter's, I saw where he took some friends' pictures that were pretty good, so I let him shoot me. I was so nervous because I was taking pictures in a little bikini at the beach. I didn't know him or what I was doing. I was 20 years old and still a virgin. I think to do really sexy pictures, you need to have some life experience. He wanted me to wear this thong and take my top off, covering my boobs with my hands. I do that all of the time now, but I was nervous and told him I didn't want to.

Savvy: Was he a dick about it?

Jessica: The whole time he made me feel uncomfortable, like I was wasting his time. He could have been more understanding knowing it was my first time posing ever. He mailed me the CD with the pictures on it and a note saying never to call him again because I was a waste of film. I felt really hurt.

Savvy: So how did you become a model in spite of this?

Jessica: My brother told me about this article in Stuff magazine, and I sent in some of the pictures from the CD that this photographer said he hated. About a month later, someone from Stuff called while I was in the park reading a book. Strange, but I'd been thinking that day how much I'd love to get into modeling.

Savvy: We're glad you showed up the radar.

Jessica: I've gotten more and more comfortable in front of a camera. Nobody has to tell me what to do to get a sexy picture now.

Savvy: Have you dealt with any perverts?

Jessica: There's this one guy who I bet keeps a secret file. Every girl who has shot with him has the same complaint about him. I was on the floor posing in a crawling position and my bikini bottoms were too big, sagging in the front. He took about 15 pictures of me and THEN he said, "Oh Jessica, your bottoms are sagging and I can see inside." I might have a nipple slip out and he would take a bunch of pictures before telling me to adjust my hand to cover it. He's a really good photographer and I've gotten compliments from his pictures, but models just have to be careful when shooting with him.

Savvy: That wasn't our photographer for Savvy, was it?

Jessica: (Laughs) No way! Barry Smith was awesome. He's energetic, nice and cool, really easy to shoot with. He just let me move without trying to direct every pose. He gave me lots of feedback too.

Savvy: Speaking of sexy pictures, would you do Playboy or Mystique?

Jessica: I talked to Playboy a couple of years ago. I really wanted to be a Playmate, but they ask you to come in and let their photographer shoot you nude before they make a final decision. I ended up getting so nervous and not going to the test shoot. I wasn't ready then, but if the opportunity came again, I probably would take it. I'm not sure that's the direction I want to go in yet. I subscribe to Playboy. I don't know if that's weird for a girl to have.

Savvy: It's less weird than if I had issues of Playgirl sitting around my office! (Laughs) Because you did some sexy girl-girl photos with Stephanie Ly and you enjoy looking at nude women in Playboy... Do you ever switch teams?

Jessica: I'm only into guys when it comes to relationships, but I can appreciate a beautiful woman when I see her. I say things like, "If I was a guy, I would so hook up with Jessica Alba." (Laughs)

Savvy: Sorry, she's mine. Before we end this, tell us how your website is doing?

Jessica: Really well for not being a nude site. It's all implieds. I have a few hundred members. On my website, you can see candid videos of me go-go dancing or just getting crazy with my girlfriends. I have a lot of girlfriend sets and more risqué photos than I have elsewhere. I do webcam chats every other week.

Savvy: Happy birthday, Jessica, and we wish you best of luck and happiness in life.

Jessica: Thanks Savvy!
